Hello. My question is what time does Chef Mickey's close? I have dinner reservations at 8:45 pm, and I want to make sure that we will have enough time to eat and see the characters. Thanks. A Jones

    Alice:

Generally, the last seatings are around 9:15 p.m. or so, but that doesn't mean that Chef Mickey's will be shutting down soon!  The restaurant is well aware of patrons who are at the far end of the evening's dining.  But best of all for those late arrivals, this actually may mean more interaction with the Characters and a restaurant that is not as loud as it was at the full dinner hour around 7 p.m.

When our family was there in November, we had one of the last seatings for breakfast and I have to admit, I was a little nervous.  Would the Characters stay? Would there be any food on the buffet? Would be sitting beside waiters busily busing tables next to us?

I was amazed at the time my kids got to spend with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto, and their favorite, Goofy.  They not only made the rounds once but twice--because the other parts of the restaurant had essentially cleared out.  There were still plenty of Mickey waffles on the buffet for seconds, and the biggest treat (for my husband) was the lowering of the noise level, which was at top pitch when we arrived.

You won't be rushed and you'll have plenty of time to take pictures with Mickey and the gang!

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
