Hi Craig!
I have been slowly checking off these amazing
Enchanting Extras offerings from my Disney bucket list, but I haven't yet been able to experience the
Starlight Safari. My kids, 11 and 14, would just love to do this one. I am so happy to see that you are thinking about heading out on this adventure on your next Walt Disney World vacation!
The "Know Before You Go" section of this tour does mention that a valid ID is required to check-in, but this is just to verify that you're the person who booked the tour and that you are over 18. Children on the tour will not need an ID to experience this safari. This tour departs from
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge.
If you're really interested in the animals of the savannah, I highly recommend the
Caring for Giants tour at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. You get to go behind the scenes to a closer viewing platform to see the beautiful African elephants while learning more about how they are taken care of.
If you are feeling a little more adventurous, the
Wild Africa Trek is my favorite tour that I've taken at Walt Disney World. You really get an up close and personal view of the wildlife at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park along with included photos from photographer who is there with you every step of the way. Who doesn't want to cross a rope bridge over crocodile habitat?
I do hope you enjoy your special safari and please don't hesitate to visit planDisney in the future if you have additional vacation planning questions.
Have a magical day!
Leslie
