Another question on our split stay please-on day of move, would it make sense to take a cab from Boardwalk to Port Orleans Fr. Quarter? Will have electronics that I do not want to take to parks and second meal plan starting that day Any idea price/cab?

    Hi Marianne!

Typically a one way taxi fare will cost under $20.00 including tip for any where on Walt Disney World property. This taxi trip will take around 10 to 15 minutes once you are in the taxi. Taxis are typically waiting at each Resort and if one is not there at that moment then the Resort can call one for you. It is actually really easy to take a taxi in Walt Disney World and I tend to use a taxi on my Walt Disney World vacations if I need to get somewhere quickly.  I would definitely recommend using a taxi in your situation to get from the Boardwalk Resort to the the Port Orleans Resort-French Quarter.  If you choose to use the Walt Disney World Transportation System, you could get on a boat to Hollywood Studios at the Boardwalk Resort and then get on a bus going to Port Orleans Resort-French Quarter at Hollywood Studios.  Keep in mind that this particular journey could take 60 to 90 minutes.  You will need to check into Port Orleans Resort-French Quarter to receive the meal credits on your second Disney Dining Plan.

I hope that your next Walt Disney World vacation is truly magical in every way!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
