My question is about my son who is 3, he has Autism and becomes very overwhelmed at times by crowds and loud noises, so I was wondering if there are quite places available throughout the parks that we could visit for some calming time?

    Hi Natasha,

The Baby Care Centers are located in every theme park, water park, and Downtown Disney.  They usually have rocking chairs and television set that is usually playing a Disney Movie.  At Epcot between Mission Space and Ellen's Energy Adventure is a quiet area to calm down.  Also by Journey to Imagination, there are dancing fountains that my children love as well.  In the United Kingdom Pavilion, there are gardens to walk around that are soothing.  At Animal Kingdom, you can walk around the Tree of Life and see lots of wildlife.  There are trails all around Discovery Island.  The Pangami Forest Exploration Trails are also a wonderful way to get away from it all while seeing gorillas, giraffes, elephants and various reptiles, fish, and birds.  Along the same line, the Maharajah Jungle Trek is a quiet walk, and you can see animals of Asia.  One of the best places in Animal Kingdom is the Cretaceous Trail.  This is off the beaten path and sheltered by trees.  You can climb on a dinosaur or just sit on a bench.  In Hollywood Studios, the Journey into Narnia and Walt Disney:  One Man's Dream are both walking tours that are air-conditioned and usually not very crowded.  At the Magic Kingdom, there is a play area where Splash Mountain lets off. Tom Sawyer Island is also a great place to find a quiet place, and your son will have a wonderful time exploring!   The Tomorrowland Transit Authority is a relaxing ride through Tomorrowland that my family loves.  Please let me know if I can help you further, Natasha as I have run out of room.  Have a magical vacation!
