Hi, I have a question about rider switch, say if dad and older kid ride first, and when switching for mom however, the younger kid doesn’t want dad and only wants mom, in this case could the older kid ride again with dad? It’s 2 people either way. Thanks!

Hello Shichen, and welcome back to planDisney! I see you have an upcoming trip to Walt Disney World Resort. There's nothing better than counting down to the magic, and I hope your wait is a short one!

I absolutely love using Lightning Lanes passes to make our day even more magical. Skipping the long lines means more time to enjoy all the incredible experiences at Disney World! I noticed you have a Lightning Lane pass for the amazing TRON Lightcycle / Run. There's nothing quite like being launched at high speed and catching a glimpse of Disney's Magic Kingdom as you go. It's truly one of my favorite attractions on Disney property. If possible, I highly recommend riding at night for an extra magical experience.

It's important to note that Lightning Lane passes are nonrefundable and nontransferable. Once you purchase one for a member of your party, you won't be able to swap or transfer it. In my family, when we run into this with my youngest son, my husband or I will ride with our oldest child while the other waits, and then we use Rider Switch. What I love about this feature is that it allows you to bring someone along, so you don't have to ride alone. My oldest loves this, as he gets to ride twice, and my husband waits with my youngest.

If your family needs special accommodations for Lightning Lane use, I recommend speaking with a Guest Experience Team Cast Member at the blue umbrella locations throughout the park. They are specially trained to assist with unique family needs. These Cast Members have helped me many times with my youngest, who is often hesitant to ride certain attractions. You'll find the support you need at these locations.

I hope this information has been helpful! If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to return. Wishing you a practically perfect vacation in every way!

    Sending pixie-dusted magic,
    Michelle
