Hiya Theresa,
Welcome back to
planDisney! We are honored that you continue to visit us for help with your planning questions! I have a confession to make, Theresa. My favorite mode of transportation at Walt Disney World Resort is the
Minnie Van service. I have a toddler and an infant, so I love that the Minnie Van allows me an easier way to travel. Also, not having to bargain with my toddler to stay seated on the bus is a huge plus.
The car seats are stored in the trunk if they aren’t currently in use, but once requested, the Cast Member will take them out and install them. As an avid user of the Minnie Van, in my experience, the car seats have always been installed in the middle passenger seat and not in the back of the vehicle. The back seat is typically where I sit so that I can make silly faces at my rear-facing littles. If you want a Cast Member to install the car seat in a specific seat, you can always request it, and they will install in accordance with safety guidelines.
I hope this was helpful, Theresa! Before I let you go, please note that wait times for Minnie Vans tend to increase immediately after the nighttime spectaculars conclude for the night. If you plan to watch the fireworks at
Magic Kingdom, for instance, after the show ends, don’t head immediately towards the exit. I use this time to walk through the Emporium or grab a snack, and then by the time I head to the exit, the crowd has thinned out enough to make my wait a lot more manageable for my littles. Please come back and see us if you need anything else.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
