Hi my question is in regards to the Disney aulani resort on Oahu. Can u fit a queen air mattress In the 2 bedroom villa (in the room with 2 queen beds)? Or would a twin size bed better? Thank you so much we are trying the figure out the sleeping arrangment

Aloha, Solette, and welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad you found us - and I'm delighted to hear that you'll be visiting Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa next week.  Aulani has a special place in my heart, as we stayed there for our very first Disney Vacation Club stay ten years ago! We were lucky enough to return there recently, and it really is an amazing spot. I could float on the Waikolohe Stream all day!

Let's chat about the layout of your 2-Bedroom Villa. As long as you are within the room occupancy limits (up to 9 adults, plus 1 infant), you can get creative with your sleeping arrangements. The 2-Bedroom boasts 1 King bed, 2 Queen beds, a Queen sleeper sofa, and a Twin sleeper chair. The bedroom with the Queen beds is a little tight for a Queen-sized air mattress, so I would recommend using a Twin-sized version.

Solette, Aulani actually has Twin air mattresses available for Guests - these are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The Cast Members there will even bring the mattress to your room and inflate it for you! You can add a note to your reservation to request an air mattress (or two), and while this can't be guaranteed, the crew at Aulani will do everything they can to make your stay picture-perfect. There are also stores nearby in Kapolei where you could purchase an air mattress if you prefer.

Before you set sail for Oahu, be sure to download the Aulani resort app. It's a great way to stay up-to-date on what activities are happening at the resort with the Daily 'Iwa (the Aulani activity calendar), and you can book dining and activity reservations directly through the app. Some of our must-dos include snorkeling in Rainbow Reef and the Ko'Olina lagoons, and the evening luau KA WA'A. The luau is such a great experience, with Hawaiian music, dance, and food. Our girls still talk about it! Reservations are a must, and it's definitely an evening to remember!

Solette, I hope this information is helpful for your planning purposes. Wishing you a relaxing and memorable vacation with your family - along with plenty of shave ice! If you have any additional questions before your trip next week, please reach out to our planDisney 'Ohana again, and we will be happy to help.

    Aloha!
