I have a question regarding Fast Passes. How do I know how much time to put between Fast Pass reservations, and/or Fast Pass reservations and lunch/dinner reservations? Also how does Fast Pass work with Rider Switch? Thank you!

    Hello Kathleen!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It is a pleasure to answer your first question.

Making FastPass+ selections is the best way to secure a special time in advance to enjoy up to three of your favorite attractions without having to wait in the standby queue. This definitely gives you more time to enjoy the magic.

When you make selections, please note that you will have a one-hour window to redeem your FastPass+ experience. This means that if you make a 4:00 p.m. selection you will have until 5:00 p.m. to ride using your pass. The time you will put in between selections will depend not only on FastPass+ availability, but also on how you plan to tour the theme park, the time for other activities you have planned, and the location of the attractions. I try my best to select attractions depending on the direction I am going while touring the park. Keep in mind that you are advised to arrive at your dining location about 15 minutes before your reservation, so I usually make FastPass+ selections that start 1.5 hours before or after my dining reservations. Please keep in mind that character dining experiences may take longer, so plan accordingly.

You are welcome to use Rider Switch service with FastPass+. To request Rider Switch, please talk to Cast Members at the entrance of participating attractions, and remember that all members of your party must be present. The first group will be allowed to board the attractions through the FastPass+ return access and the second group will be assigned a digital pass with a specific return time.

Thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I hope this helps you while planning and that you come back to visit us real soon.

    Best magical wishes,
