Hi there, Adi! Welcome to planDisney! You are just a few short weeks away from your hopeful trip to the Happiest Place on Earth! This is usually when I start to hum some favorite Disney tunes and keep my eyes peeled on the Disney Parks Blog and @Disneyland Instagram account for any news I don't want to miss!
It sounds like you may already have theme park tickets and you are asking about how to change the dates for the theme park reservations. I hope I've got that right! While theme park tickets are nonrefundable, the reservations can be canceled and rescheduled, subject to availability, all the way through your expiration date. The Disneyland Resort fully knows that life happens, so there is a long runway for that magic carpet to find a time that works best for Guests to visit the parks. I think I have some good news for you! When it comes to canceling your reservations, you have until 11:59 p.m. PST the evening before, so hopefully, this gives you time to make changes based on your work schedule. The reservation calendar is looking pretty open for that week, but as summer is upon us, I would try to make some reservations for the dates you
think you will go as soon as you can. Reservations can fill up quickly at times.
Happy to put together a pixie-dusted tutorial for making and changing reservations. Ready? Then, HERE WE GO!
To make a reservation:
- Open up your Disneyland Mobile App and tap the "+" in the bottom navigation bar. If you are on the website, hover over the "Parks & Tickets" tab and tap into "Ticket and Reservation Details".
- Here you can view current availability for theme park tickets, or simply jump the calendar to make your reservations by selecting "Make a Park Reservation".
- On the next page, tap the "Book Theme Park Reservation" button again. Here you should see any tickets that are linked to your account. Select the Guests you are booking reservations for and tap "Continue".
- On the next screen you will see the availability for your ticket type. Choose your date, then select which park you will be visiting. If you have Park Hoppers, you will select your starting park with hopping available after 1 p.m. - hooray! Since you are booking multiple days, you will need to do this process for each day. Follow all the prompts all the way through until you confirm the reservation and receive an email with details.
To change a reservation:
- Head back into your Disneyland Mobile App and tap the three-bar menu in the bottom right-hand corner.
- Select "Future Plans" and you should see any upcoming theme park reservations.
- Scroll to the date you would like to change and tap "Cancel Reservation". Follow the prompts from here and you will be brought back to the beginning of the process where you can start a new booking for your new date.
Adi, I do hope that this was helpful in planning your days at the Disneyland Resort. If you end up spending some time in the magic in June, be sure to check the Entertainment Schedule and EARmark a few must-see events. June is Black Music Month and there are lots of special performances throughout the resort as part of the ongoing
Celebrate Soulfully programming! The Tale of the Lion King has just returned to the Fantasyland Theatre, and I cannot wait to see this in person. I can hear the first notes of "Circle of Life" just thinking about it!
Magic awaits!
