Hello Heidi! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
When organizing all your meals for
redeeming Disney Dining Plan credits, I often forget that I have the option during any transaction to pay out of pocket, redeem credits or a combination of both.
For Quick Service locations, you will inform the Cast Member that you are using Disney Dining Plans credits. From there the Cast Member will apply the appropriate credits based on your order (whether snacks or meals) and provide you a bill to sign if the transaction is complete or a bill for the remainder beyond what is covered by the Disney Dining Plan.
It is similar to redeeming any extras beyond what is covered for
Table Service Disney Dining Plan credits when my wife and I add a couple extra drinks to our meals. What is covered is dealt with by Disney Dining Plan credits initially and then a bill is created for anything above and beyond.
For Quick Service Dining Locations you simply scan your MagicBand to redeem your initial Disney Dining Plan credits and pay how you like for anything left over.
Just let the Cast Member know how you would like to handle the transaction and they'll take it from there.
Remember - the
Dole Whip at Aloha Isle is not only delicious, it is your best use of a Snack credit on any Disney Dining Plan (trust me) and is available through the
Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering Service through My Disney Experience.
Bon Appétit!
