Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is being held on select evenings in September and October. Visit the
calendar to see when the parties are taking place. This will give you an idea for possible dates next year.
My family enjoyed a MNSSHP last week. It's a wonderful event for the entire family. My son dressed up as Captain Jack Sparrow and we wore Captain Mom and Captain Dad t-shirts. When planning costumes keep in mind that it can still be hot and humid at this time of the year in Florida.
Trick or treat bags will be handed out as you enter the Magic Kingdom. Our son had a great time trick-or-treating throughout the Magic Kingdom. He was loaded down with candy by the end of the evening. Another magical experience for our family was attending the kid-oriented dance parties. My 8-year old danced inside Cosmic Ray's while Stitch got in to the groove on stage. At Ariel's Grotto, our son did some more dancing with Chip and Dale joining the kids on the dance floor.
Free face painting is available throughout the park for kids of all ages, including the young-at-heart!
There's plenty of time to enjoy your favorite attractions. The fireworks were very festive!
If you want to by-pass the crowds, trick or treat during the first parade and sit for the second parade. This makes for a late evening but it's worth it. Plan your day accordingly. We like to enjoy a sit-down lunch at a resort or Downtown Disney and then relax at the pool before heading to after-hour parties in the Magic Kingdom!
