    Question about park reservations

Hiya, Paul! Welcome back to planDisney! With lots of Guests making their way back to the magic for the first time, you are in good company with your question about theme park reservations. I'm happy to be your guide through this whole new world!

Let's hop on a magic carpet and start at the beginning! Guests are now required to have both a theme park ticket and a theme park reservation to enter the parks. While the ticket is your admission for the day, the reservation holds a spot for you in one (or both) of the parks and helps the Cast Members to know how many people to expect each day. This was a measure put in place to ensure the health and safety of all who come to this happy place. Reservations are limited and subject to availability, so I love to hear that you are looking into these early! As we approach the holidays, you will see that reservations will likely become unavailable for the more popular days!

Reservations can be made up to 120 days in advance. If you purchase your theme park ticket on the Disneyland website, you will be asked to make a reservation as part of the process. If you have a single-day ticket, you will be asked to choose the park where you will spend your day. If you have a Park Hopper ticket, you will be asked to choose the park where you will start your morning, with hopping available after 1 p.m. I know this is a lot to take in, so feel free to bounce any follow-up questions back to us!

If you need to make changes to a reservation, you can do this on the Disneyland mobile app or website by canceling your original reservation and booking a new one. Before making any changes, you'll want to take a peek at the theme park reservation calendar to ensure your new date is available. This calendar updates live, so if your new date is not showing as available, keep checking! Guests are always changing their plans!

You can always take a look at any current reservations you are holding by heading into the Disneyland Mobile App, tapping the menu icon in the bottom right-hand corner, and selecting "Future Plans." This is also where you can start if you need to cancel a reservation before booking a new one.

Wow, our magic carpet took quite a few twists and turns there! I hope Abu and myself have been good pilots on your journey. I promise, it becomes much more intuitive once you've been through the process once or twice. If you are looking to go during the holidays, I would try to make those reservations as soon as possible. I wouldn't want you to miss out on any of the very merry cheer!

Paul, our magic carpet is coming in for a landing. I'll park it right in front of the Main Entrance Gates so you can pop right out and head into your park day! If you have any more questions, we are always here for you at planDisney!

    Never stop dreaming,
    Tara
