Hey there, Julia! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. I hope you are getting so excited for your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation. It's right around the corner, I bet the countdown is on!
Park hopping is actually my favorite way to spend a Disney day! It's also something I've been recommending for people who, like yourself, aren't really able to secure a
park pass reservation for the theme park they'd really like to visit.
Park hopping has just recently returned to us, at the start of this year, and does look a little bit different than it did before.
Here's how park hopping is currently working:
- Guests wishing to park hop must have valid theme park admission with the park hopper option
- Guests wishing to park hop must make park pass reservations for an initial theme park each day
- On the day of park hopping, Guests must scan in and enter the theme park with the park pass reservation before continuing on to other theme parks throughout the day
- It is not necessary to make multiple park pass reservations for each day if park hopping. Only the initial one each day
- Park hopping hours now start at 2:00 p.m. and lasts until each park closes in the evening
- Complimentary park-to-park bus transportation is currently being provided at this time
So if you are able to make a park pass reservation for Epcot but really want to go to Disney's Hollywood Studios, I say make the park pass reservation for what you can. Just keep in mind that you will have to go to Epcot first and scan into the theme park. You don't have to spend any time there if you don't want to, you just have to use your park ticket there first. Then you can go wherever you'd like, starting at 2:00 p.m., for the rest of the day.
Julia, I hope this helps you figure out your itinerary. If you have any other questions before your trip, please feel free to come back and
ask me. I'm here to help.
Have fun!
