Hi there, Clarissa!
Welcome to
planDisney, and thanks so much for asking us your question about the
Disneyland Resort. I hope you’ve been making many pixie-dusted memories as a
Magic Key holder!
As you may already know, Magic Key holders who use their pass to book a
theme park reservation have until 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on the day before the reservation to cancel. If they don’t scan into a theme park on the day that was planned or cancel within the allotted time frame, that counts as a no-show. Magic Key holders who are no-shows for three reservations within any 90-day window will be unable to make new theme park reservations or modify existing ones for 30 days. So, while there is a penalty for missing three theme park reservations, missing just one won’t have any consequences as long as you don’t miss two more within the same 90 days.
You may want to enter your theme park reservations into your digital calendar and set a reminder alert for the night before, just as a fail-safe to help you prevent accidental no-shows. However, I know last-minute conflicts and illnesses do unfortunately happen, and sometimes a same-day change of plans is unavoidable. It’s definitely better to accrue one no-show day than to visit the resort when you’re not feeling well or have some other less-than-magical situation going on in your life!
I hope this information answers your question, Clarissa, and that your next theme park visit is just around the corner! Please feel free to
write back and ask any other questions you may have.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
