I have a question about the new rapid fill mugs. In the past I have been able to fill my water bottle at the kiosk for beverages. Will I be able to do this due to the new system? Also will I be able to microwave the cups due to the chips?

Hi Marlene!

I love the Disney Rapid Fill system and I have had the chance to use it quite a few times since it was instituted in Walt Disney World over the summer of 2013. Guests can get water from the Disney Rapid Fill system without a Disney Rapid Fill Mug. So you could fill your water bottle up with water at a Disney Rapid Fill station. Disney Rapid Fill Mugs cannot be used in the microwave or dishwasher because both those appliances will destroy the RF (radio frequency) chip embedded in the bottom of the mug.
