Hello my question is this. The new Avatar land in Animal Kingdom is there going to be a restaurant in it and is it quick service or table service. Have a trip planned for week after Thanksgiving. Thanks so much love this panel.

    Hi Larry,

Thanks for your nice words about the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We love being able to answer guests' questions about Walt Disney World.

The new Pandora -- The World of Avatar area of Animal Kingdom is spectacular. I had a chance to experience it during a preview last week and to sample the food at the new Satu'li Canteen. It's a quick service restaurant with the option to do mobile ordering in advance for faster service.

The menu includes a variety of build-your-own bowls. You chose a protein: marinated grilled chicken, crispy tofu squares, panko-crusted fish or grilled roast beef. You then pick a base (sweet potato hash, rice, romaine and kale salad, or quinoa and vegetable salad. Top it off with one of three sauces, a charred onion chimichurri, a creamy herb or a black bean vinaigrette. I especially liked the sweet potato hash, the chicken and tofu. I would have trouble choosing a favorite sauce. All the bowls come with a crunchy slaw.

The canteen also serves "pods", steamed buns stuffed with a vegetable curry or a cheeseburger mixture. They look cool and are tasty and fun.

Kids menus mimic the adult menu. There's also a hot dog wrapped in a roll and a cheese quesadilla option for children.

During your visit to Pandora, don't miss the Na'vi River Journey or Avatar Passage of Flight. Both rides are out of this world!

Please let us know if we can help in any other way as you make your plans, Larry. Enjoy!
