Hello, I have a question about the Murphy bed in the cabins--are they comfortable for 2 adults, my husband and I? We are taking our 4 daughters this Spring Break & letting the girls take the bedroom, is that mistake????

Hi Catherine!  I am a cabin veteran and love the experience of Fort Wilderness!

I have indeed slept on the murphy bed in the living area and this is the best spot for the adults of the family who might wish to stay up later and keep the lights on while watching television.  The bed is actually quite comfortable but please keep in mind that it is a double bed. Being used to a king size at home it felt small which of course it was but we pulled the sofa over to the side and it gave the feeling of a wider area at least.

The bedroom wouldn't offer you a better option as there is a double bed and two bunks. The bunks are short so a large adult will feel too long for them and I found the murphy bed more comfortable then the double bed.  Obviously it is all personal preference but I have tried them both and would gladly stay in the living room if I had the choice.

Enjoy the cabins and Fort Wilderness!
