Hi Toni!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Mine is a Military Family too, and I am so thankful for the way that Walt Disney World shows their appreciation to those who serve their country by way of the wonderful
U.S. Military Multi-Day Promotional Tickets. I'm so sorry that life has gotten in the way and that you're needing to rearrange your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
Walt Disney World Resort Theme Park Tickets that were purchased from a base MWR or ITT office are initially issued as 'Exchange Certificate' that need to be validated in-person at Walt Disney World Resort before their first use. Either the Service Member, or their DEERS recognized spouse, needs to show proof of their eligibly to purchase these tickets by flashing their Military ID when both making the initial purchase of these Exchange Tickets, as well as when validating the tickets at any
Walt Disney World Resort Guest Services location.
Technically, Exchange Tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded by the base who sold them for any reason. However, Disney has been known to be very understanding when it comes to the needs of the Military. Whether the reason for needing an exchange or refund is Orders related (PCS, Deployment, TDY), due to a medical emergency, or anything else, it's worth a call to either Disney at (407) 939-5277 or to call
Shades of Green at (407) 824-1403 to find out what your options would be.
Again, I'm so sorry for your vacation plans needing to be moved, but I hope this helped, Toni!
