Officer Judy Hopps, and the Great Mouse Detective to help solve this Lightning Lane mystery, since you seem to be within your selection window.
Philip, I’ve spent some time this evening chatting with an incredibly helpful Cast Member who joined me in our quest. She confirmed that we’re both seeing the same thing. Jungle Cruise is not listed for refurbishment on the calendar. I explained that I have a Jungle Cruise-loving Guest (that’s you) who is within their
Lightning Lane window but can’t select this ride as an option. Philip, we braved the wilds of the jungle and did some serious digging. And I have some groundbreaking news!
While the
Jingle Cruise transitions back to the Jungle Cruise, there may be some brief and temporary closures after January 2nd to allow for the changeover. Given the possibility of these brief closures, Lightning Lanes appear to have been taken offline during the switchover. I verified that the ride is currently still scheduled to be open each day, so the standby line should still be available. She also confirmed that once the switchover is complete, Lightning Lanes will become available again. My best advice is to keep checking your
My Disney Experience app, as these Lightning Lanes could appear at any time. Also, check the app to make sure the ride is open before heading out for the best 10-minute, 10,000-mile journey you’ll ever have! It sounds like the overlay change is something fluid (water pun intended), so things could change at any given time. You “H2O it” to yourself to see the eighth wonder of the world, and I’m wishing on a colorful toucan that this solves the mystery and helps you plan your days at
