Question 1 - Magic Bands Will magic bands be available for the Australian cruises Question 2 - Refillable Souvenir cups Does Disney cruise line have refillable cups that they can use on board the ship?

Hello again, Elicia! Thanks for cruising back to us at planDisney. We are glad that you are here!

It sounds like you may be making plans to sail on the Disney Wonder during the limited-time Disney Magic at Sea sailings that begin next fall in Australia. You are in for a real treat! There is so much fun to be had onboard a Disney Cruise. The entertainment onboard is excellent. The activities appeal to sailors of all ages, and the service is impeccable! I'd love to answer your questions as you get into planning mode.

First, Magic Bands are not used aboard Disney Cruise Line. You will receive what is called a Key to the World Card to use to enter your stateroom and while disembarking and embarking on the ship at ports of call. You'll keep your Key to the World Card (it's the size of a credit card) with you at all times. Some guests keep them in their pockets, while others prefer to bring a lanyard to use. If you have any children between the ages of 3-12 that will be enjoying the youth activity spaces onboard, they will receive an Oceaneer Band (it looks and functions very much like a Magic Band) upon check-in at the port. Children are encouraged to wear their Oceaneer Band throughout the voyage as they will use it to check in and out of the secured youth spaces.

A variety of beverages, including sodas, lemonade, tea, and coffee are available on the ship and are included in your cruise fare. There are beverage stations that are open 24 hours a day located on Deck 9 of the Disney Wonder. There are one-time-use cups at these stations. You are also able to bring your own reusable cups as long as you fill them with disposable cups for sanitary purposes. I have seen reusable cups, tumblers, mugs, and themed sippers for sale on the ships. The inventory varies between itineraries and ships. I wouldn't be surprised if there was even merchandise sold specifically for the unique sailings in Australia and New Zealand.

For more information about what to expect during the Disney Magic at Sea itineraries, I encourage you to visit www.disneycruiseline.com/aunz. You can also follow the new Facebook and Instagram feeds at @disneycruiselineaunz for more updates as these sailings draw near.

    Happy Planning!
