I have a question about the magic bands. Is it possible to link my credit card to it? So that I may be able to purchase souvenirs, snacks , food etc. without having to bring my wallet with me? I'm just trying to carry as less as possible.

    Hi Frances!

The answer depends on whether or not you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. If you are staying at a Disney Resort, then yes, you can link a credit card. The MagicBand serves many purposes such as to open the door at your room and to charge to your room account (with a linked credit card) as well as to use dining credits given as part of a Disney Dining Plan. Also, theme park tickets and FastPass + selections are linked to the MagicBands. Guests staying a Disney Resort  receive a MagicBand free of charge.

If you are staying off-site, you cannot link a credit card at this time and the only use you would have for the MagicBand would be for the park tickets and FastPass + selections. You could purchase a MagicBand online at www.disneystore.com, via the Shop Disney Parks App on your mobile device or at one of the many shops located in the theme parks or Disney Springs.
Did you know?: Guests have the option to create and personalize MagicBands at Walt Disney World Resort. The  MagicBand on Demand stations are located inside the Tomorrowland Light & Power Co. location near Space Mountain in Magic Kingdom Park. These can also be purchased at the D-Tech on Demand boutique at the Marketplace Co-Op in Disney Springs Marketplace or Star Wars Launch Bay in Disney's Hollywood Studios. To view some of the artwork options and for more information, please visit: Retail MagicBand on Demand.

It has been a pleasure assisting you Frances. Please feel free to send me any additional questions.
     Happy Planning!
