Hello I have a question that I hope gets answered. I am a regular Disneyland goer in need of a guide of places where I can get healthy foods for type 2 diabetes. I see the same question never answered. A list or guide would be helpful for everyone.

Hey there, hi there, Trisha! We are so glad you've stopped by with your question for us. Welcome to planDisney!

I'm thrilled to hear that you are a regular Guest of Disneyland Resort. Me too! I understand that spending the day in the parks can be harder to navigate when you have dietary restrictions and guidelines to stick to. However, I've found that Disneyland Resort can be very accommodating to most circumstances. I do not have a guide to places for healthy food options, but I'd be happy to share places in the parks where I think you'll have success grabbing snacks or meals.

For snacks, there are fruit carts and stands that offer lots of fruit and veggie options, as well as some healthier snacks. In Disneyland Park, you will find these located on Main Street, U.S.A., Fantasyland, near Sailing Ship Columbia's dock, and Critter Country. At Disney California Adventure Park, you will find Mortimer's Market to your right as soon as you walk through the gates and Fillmore's Taste-In at Cars Land.

When it comes to dining options for meals, my favorite location for a healthier meal is Bengal Barbecue in Disneyland Park. Here you can grab skewers with different meat and/or veggies. For sit-down options, I would look at Blue Bayou Restaurant or Plaza Inn at Disneyland Park. Also, don't forget about options outside of the parks. I love escaping to GCH Craftsman Bar at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa to grab a poke bowl, chicken skewers, or salmon salad. This is also easily accessible if you are in Disney California Adventure Park where you can use the entrance to the hotel that is located in the park near Grizzly River Run.

I recommend utilizing the Disneyland app to look at your options ahead of your next visit as food options can change from time to time. I love that you can open the map and choose "Dining" from the drop-down menu to see each food service location and cart. When you click on that location, you will be able to view the menu to see your options.

Trisha, thanks again for visiting us! Please come back and visit us again with any other planning questions you may have! See you real soon!

Well hello friend! I'm Carrie, a work-from-home mama and military wife who currently calls sunny San Diego home. We love that we are close enough to Disneyland Resort to make a last-minute trip to see the Mouse quite frequently. You'll find us in the parks braving drops and coasters to work up our appetite to take as many snack breaks as we can fit in! I love helping my friends plan memorable trips to Disneyland Resort and can't wait to help you too! Learn More About Carrie
