Another question.. you moms are great at getting me the info I need! If you could choose between 2/3/09-2/11/09 or 2/24/09-3/11/00 which option would you choose? We are concerned about weather and crowds. Would like warm weather & low crowds of cours

    Denise,

I would opt for the earlier vacation, 2/3/09-2/11/09.  My reasoning is based on the Presidents' weekend holiday.  Presidents' Day 2009 will be on 2/16.  Because that is a long weekend the crowds are usually heavier that week.  Historically crowds are low after the New Year up until presidents' weekend, which is very busy.  After the holiday crowds are lighter but still more people than before the holiday, and they will grow steadily through spring.

My family loves to visit Disney early in the year, anytime in January or early February. We've never had any problem with crowd levels during this time.  We've also been fortunate enough to have good weather, generally wearing shorts and tees during the day and adding some layers in the evenings.  Layers are important that time of year as the weather can be unpredictable, but in all our vacations we've only experienced one very cold day at Disney - our first day on our first Disney vacation ever!  We huddled inside drinking hot cocoa, searching the shops for gloves and coats, and wondering what in the world we were thinking vacationing in January.  The next day was sunny and 75 degrees, as was the rest of the vacation, and we swam several days!  Go figure!
