Another question for you. Family of 6, staying at Poly 4/4-4/11. ADR at Chef Mickeys at 7:05 am Sat. Is monorail running that early? When should we leave Poly to get to Contempo on time? Thanks for all your help. First trip and a little overwhelmed.

    Hi Heather,
Your first trip will be here very soon and you've done well with planning ahead!

The resort monorail begins running at 7:00 a.m. I would get your family to the second floor monorail depot at approximately 6:50 a.m. This way you will not miss the first monorail run of the morning. After boarding at the Polynesian, you’ll make 2 quick stops (Grand Floridian and Magic Kingdom) prior to arriving the Contemporary hotel. At this early hour, the stops should be very quick as not many guests will be boarding (or exiting) yet.

When you arrive the Contemporary, take the escalator to the fourth floor Concourse Level. You will then turn right to walk towards Chef Mickey's. Even if you arrive a bit later than 7:05 a.m., you will be seated very quickly as most tables will still be empty since the restaurant has just opened.

In case these times have changes since my last visit, please inquire with a Cast Member that works the monorail station. Simply, go to the second floor monorail station at the Polynesian. You can make your inquiry without actually boarding a monorail. The monorail attendants are always nearby the station’s entrance gates to answer your questions. They will be able to reassure you as to what time you should be at the resort monorail for your breakfast at Chef Mickey’s. Enjoy the magic!
