Hi, Annetria!
Questions are why I'm here -- I'm happy to help you! Congratulations on your cruise aboard the Disney Dream next year. She is a spectacular ship, and I'm excited that you have plans to sail with Disney Cruise Line (DCL).
More than likely, you will be presented with an opportunity to book a future DCL cruise while still aboard, and generally speaking, you can save as much as 10 percent off the quoted fare. Many repeat DCL guests take advantage of this offer, and sometimes, there is an additional shipboard credit offered as an added incentive. Therefore, it is wise to book early in the course of your current cruise to avoid a crowd or a line.
The DCL Cast Member can explain all the details, but you will want to know the full names and birthdays of your traveling party and the ship/destination. Most changes without penalty can be made depending on your sail dates, but the more details you can provide, the better.
Here are a few more things to know:
- There is a future bookings desk on the ship. Check your daily Personal Navigator for times and location.
- A deposit is usually required at the time of booking.
- More than likely, you can later change the dates of the future cruise and still keep the onboard booking discount and onboard credit.
- You can transfer your onboard reservation to a travel agency and keep the onboard booking discount and onboard credit. However, you usually can't combine travel agency offers and discounts with onboard reservations discounts/credits.
- You can book as many staterooms for future cruises as you have people in your party. If you have a family of 5 on the cruise, you can book up to 5 staterooms for future cruises -- for family reunion cruise or a great deal for friends.
I hope this helps you plan. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
Andi
