My question is about Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside. Can the Royal Guest Room sleep 2 adults & 3 kids? My husband kind of has his heart set on one of those rooms.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Savannah!

It is a pleasure to answer your first question and help you plan a magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. I am so happy to hear that you are planning to stay at a Disney Resort hotel! Several benefits are offered for Guests who stay in the middle of the magic, including complimentary transportation to and from Orlando International Airport, theme parks, water parks and Disney Springs.

Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - Riverside is my favorite Disney Resort hotel in the moderate category. The hotel grounds are absolutely stunning with the Sassagoula River running right through it. In my opinion, what makes this unique hotel the perfect destination for families are the dining and recreation opportunities, including the fantastic Ol’ Man Island pool. In addition, I love being able to go to Disney Springs using boat transportation.

I have already had the opportunity of staying in one of the stunning Royal Guest Rooms so I completely understand why your husband has his heart set on them. The theming is absolutely gorgeous and truly makes you feel like Disney royalty. Being able to book one of these rooms for your family of 5 will depend on the ages of your children. Royal Guest Rooms can accommodate four Guests three and older, so if one of your kids is under the age of three you can request a crib. However, if all your children are three years or older, you will be automatically assigned a Guest room in the Alligator Bayou section of the resort. These rooms feature a pull-down bed to accommodate the fifth Guest, and I must say that kids absolutely love it!
