I have a question. I have been to Disney 31 times, so I know it like the back of my hand. But one thing I can't figure out is why they always offer the free dining mid August. Do you think that will change this year because of the economy and start earlier

    Hi Jaime!

The free dining offer has been released this year for most dates between August 16th and October 3rd. There is always a chance that the free dining offer may be extended past the beginning of October, but we'll just have to wait and see. Last year the offer was extended so it is definitely possible.

No one can really say why they only offer the free dining in August and September, but my guess is that it's because this is a slower time of year and the dining offer brings in guests. To see what deals are being offered at any given time visit the Special Offers page on the Disney website.
