Hi mom's, I have a question about custom cakes. I'm worried about allergies. My brother (it's for his birthday) is lactose intolerant, my dd has a strawberry allergy, and my niece has a peanut allergy. Should i scratch getting a cake? TIA

    Hello Crystal!

If anyone ever asks me whether they should get cake, my first reaction is always YES! Cake! However, I understand your concerns. The chefs at Walt Disney World Resort have always been amazing at talking to me about foods that my daughter with a peanut allergy cannot eat or even making an entirely new tasty creation for her.

A custom cake would be the icing on your brother's birthday celebration. I suggest calling the Cake Ordering Hotline at (407) 827-2253. They need at least 72 hours advance notice, and I suggest calling even a couple of weeks in advance just in case you need special assistance for your requests. Talk to the Cast Member and express your concerns. They will inform you of your options and then you can make a decision whether you want to continue with the order.

If anyone can cook up some delicious magic, it's the chefs at Walt Disney World. I hear they use pixie dust instead of sugar. Have a magical vacation!
