my question is I have connected with all adults but one of those adult accounts on my friends list is who the child ticket goes to. Can I buy the child ticket and connect it to my friend on my friends list? Or does the child have to be under me?

Hiya Megan, and welcome to planDisney! A Paperless Ticket Transfer to someone on your Family & Friends list is super easy, and I'd be happy to help you navigate the process.

I have an extensive Family & Friends list on the My Disney Experience app, so your question inspired me to see if I could reassign a ticket to someone I know who manages plans for their child in the app. It's really important to know that only unused tickets can be reassigned, so you'll want to complete this process prior to your visit. I see that is what you're aiming to do, so these are the steps you'll need to take to reassign a ticket.

First, purchase the ticket on the Disney World website or via the app. The home screen of the app has a plus sign at the bottom, and tapping it will bring up a menu that allows you to select "Buy Tickets and Passes."

Next, go to the ticket in the "My Tickets & Passes" section of the app, and swipe until you find the child's ticket you purchased. Underneath the barcode and "Save to Wallet" areas there will be a person-shaped icon with an option to "Reassign Ticket." Once you tap, a list of people will populate. Scroll to the child you are looking for, select them, and tap the blue button at the bottom. You may need to tap the plus sign at the bottom left to find an expanded list of connected Family & Friends to choose from. When I did this I was able to see the children of my friends and add them to my list of options for reassigning the ticket.

Since you have directly connected with your adult friend, you should be able to view the profiles they manage and reassign the ticket unless they choose not to share their Family & Friends list. If for some reason you cannot directly reassign the ticket to the child, you can assign it to your adult friend and they can assign it to their child.

You can also complete this process via the Disney World website. Simply log into your account, go to "My Plans and Tickets," click the "Tickets, Passes & Memory Maker" tab below your planning party, then find the ticket to reassign. You will see the Family & Friends you are connected to, or see related guests with whom you can connect in order to reassign the ticket.

I hope this information was just the ticket you needed to get everything squared away for your upcoming visit, Megan! Thank you for trusting planDisney with your question. We appreciate the opportunity to assist our fellow guests.

    Stay magical,
    Scott
