Hiya, Gloria!
Welcome to planDisney! On behalf of all of the planDisney panelists, please allow me to say a big, double ears 'Thank You' to your family for your service to our country! I'm a military spouse too, and I am so grateful for Disney's wonderful
Military Promotional Theme Park Admission Tickets and
Resort Hotel offers; it's so wonderful to spend quality time together at
The Happiest Place on Earth!
This is a great question, one that I tried to get clarification on myself as soon as they announced the use range upon reopening. Typically, the "valid dates of use" for the
3 and 4-Day U.S. Military Promotional Park Hopper Tickets, a.k.a. Disney's Military Salute, are from early January through the middle of December in a single calendar year. However, the
phased reopening of Disneyland Resort in 2021 only allowed entry to California Residents for the first month or two, which gave a bit of pause in what to do with these tickets; instead of allowing two separate promotions, one for the remainder of 2021 and then a brand new ticket for the entirely of 2022 like yEARs past, a big cheese in charge smooshed the 2021 and 2022 tickets and their use-yEARs together and made one big promotional pass without also upping the number of tickets each family could purchase. (My guess is this was done in case another shutdown needed to happen in 2021, then these tickets would have been valid this yEAR too.)
Your best bet will be to call your base/post Ticket Office; if you explain the situation, they can absolutely check your purchase profile for you. I know that you're not the only one in this situation, and it could be that bases have more guidelines or scripts on how to move forward in this situation. Another option is that bases do sell slightly discounted
standard Theme Park Admission Tickets; the price point certainly isn't as great as the Salute tickets, but it's better than paying the gate price.
Bonus Tip: Don't forget to check other places where you have memberships for ticket deals. Both Costco and AAA offer great
Disneyland Vacation Packages, and Target Red Card members can even have their 5% savings applied to Disneyland Tickets purchased in-stores and on target.com!
I'm so sorry that I don't have a better, more definitive answer for you, Gloria. Be sure to follow the
