Welcome aboard, Deanna!
Thanks so much for cruising by the Moms Panel with your question. I'm happy to answer questions about my favorite place - Castaway Cay. There's nothing better than stepping off the ship onto Disney's private island for a day of fun in the sun!
The cabanas on Castaway Cay can be a tough reservation to secure, and book extremely quickly. Concierge guests and Platinum Castaway Club members are able to book up to 120 days in advance, and are some of the first to reserve these private getaways. When your reservation window opens, if you see cabanas are still available, grab one quickly!
If you're unable to reserve a private cabana, no worries! Beach chairs and umbrellas are provided to Disney Cruise Line guests free of charge, and are plentiful. You'll see a rainbow of large beach umbrellas dotting the Family Beach when you arrive at Castaway Cay. Beach seating is first-come, first-serve, so if you have a certain spot on the sand you'd like to claim for the day, I suggest heading off the ship as early as you feel comfortable. My kids love to play at Pelican Plunge, a fun water-play area and platform, so we usually try to secure a spot near there.
No matter where you choose to hang out on the island, you're in for an awesome experience when you visit Castaway Cay! You can check out all the fun Port Adventures available to you here.
Have a magical day! - Diane W.
