Hi I have another question about the cabins at Fort Wilderness. Beginning of August are there alot of mosquitoes around the cabins? My youngest still naps is it noisy there? Is the pool close enough to walk to? Family of 5. Luv the panel. Eileen

Hi Eileen!  I have been to Disney in the past and staying in a resort hotel and have received notice on ways to avoid being out among the nasty mosquitos!  They are very aware of the affects of them for their guests and do everything possible to make your stay in the cabins enjoyable.  They have cleared out underbrush and standing water so the breeding sites are at a minimum.

It is impossible to control every noise but the cabins will probably be less noisy then resort rooms.  You are in a contained environment and will not have neighboring walls to other rooms etc.  Outside noise will still be there but Fort Wilderness is generally considered a very quiet area.

Fort Wilderness has two pools and everything is possible to walk to but cabins are not generally very close at all.  The options are to request a cabin as close as possible or use the inner bus links within Fort Wilderness.  The final option is to reserve and rent a golf cart for your stay but it is pricey.

Hope this information helps. I will be in the cabins in May and I can't wait!
