Hi Chris,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Wait - I think I hear the excitement at your house! What a fantastic trip it sounds like you are planning to the Walt Disney World Resort.
My family loves the
Dining Plan options. We have done the Disney Dining Plan and the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan. Yes, guests ages 3-9 must order from the children's menu when one is available. My girls, who are now 10-years old, have always enjoyed plenty of food with the kids' meals.
Remember that, with the Disney Dining Plan, meal credits are based on nights of stay. Each guest 3-years old and older will enjoy one Quick-Service and one Table-Service meal along with two snacks per night. Guests also receive one resort refillable mug on either plan. On the Deluxe Dining plan, each guest receives three meals plus two snacks per night of stay. We use the resort refillable mug to stay hydrated at the resort, especially while at the pool.
We love using a dining plan because food can be expensive while on vacation. The dining plan gives us the ability to estimate how much we will spend on food while also enjoying delicious meals that we might never have ordered if we had to pay à la carte. We use our snacks to enjoy smoothies, ice cream and other frozen treats because we typically visit in the summer months.
Remember to make
Advanced Dining Reservations. Restaurants fill quickly!
Happy Planning!
