Hello there, Daniela, and welcome to planDisney! I'm thrilled to hear you're getting ready for a fun trip to the Disneyland Resort coming up in just a few short weeks - hooray!
This is a great question, and I'm glad you stopped by to ask it.
Theme park tickets for the Disneyland Resort do expire, but the window is typically pretty long. For example, I purchased theme park tickets last October for a trip my family was taking the following month, and our tickets (if unused) didn't expire until January 12, 2025.
Tickets expire 13 days after first use, but if your son's ticket that you purchased in April 2022 was wholly unused, then it is likely still usable to make a new theme park reservation for your upcoming trip. If you purchased this ticket from the Disneyland website, I'd recommend looking up the ticket purchase confirmation email you received. Try searching "Disneyland Confirmation tickets" in your email account then, when in the confirmation email, you should be able to see the expiration date near the bottom under the "Multi-Day Ticket Expiration" section.
Just make sure to make your theme park reservations on the days you plan to visit! You can attempt to make that reservation on your own by selecting "Make Park Reservation" on the
Theme Park Reservation page, or you can
call the Tickets line to speak to a Cast Member who can help.
This is such a fun time to visit the Disneyland Resort! With the return of the
"Magic Happens" Parade, the
Disney100 celebration, and the
Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival - you are going to have so many fun things to do, see, and eat! Make sure to check the recently published
Foodie Guide on the Disney Parks Blog to make your checklist of all the delicious treats to enjoy on your trip.
Thanks again for your question, Daniela! Swing on by and see us if you think of any follow-up questions before your trip.
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
