Hi Amber!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Your Disney Cruise Line vacation is just around the corner and I know you must be thrilled to be heading to sea with Captain Mickey and friends for fun in the sun making memories you won’t forget!
One of my family’s favorite moments is when we first step onboard our "home away from home" for the first time! My two young boys love it when they announce and welcome us aboard by name - at that point, our vacation has officially started! You can certainly video and share with friends and family however you choose to do so! When the ship is at port you should have no problem accessing the internet via your personal data package. Once the ship leaves the port and heads to sea, you will lose coverage but you can purchase an
internet package to use onboard during your sailing. Connect@Sea offers internet packages for Guests to use while onboard or you can even opt to pay-as-you go (or per MB). Utilizing social media type applications does tend to use a lot more data at a quicker speed so if you purchase a package just keep up with your data usage so it’s not drained quickly! There will be a Connect@Sea representative available to answer any questions you may have about the available data packages and getting set up!
Be sure you have downloaded the
Navigator app prior to your sailing so that you can use the app while onboard. You do not need a data package to use this, but can connect to the WiFi network DCL-GUEST onboard and access a detailed schedule of events, deck plans, menus and much more! There is also a fun chat feature (complete with Disney themed emojis) that you can chat with other Guests while onboard!
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
