Hello I have a question, does anyone know the best park hopping combos ? I’m going 2 days park hop august 23-24 and I have my 2nd day already planned (HS then MK) but I’m trying to plan on my 1st three parks (mk ak hs), what’s a good combo for 1st day ?thx

Hiya D'andre and welcome to planDisney!

Oh, I see you're PLANNING planning. We love a strategy here at planDisney and with a Theme Park Ticket with a Park Hopper Option, the sky's the limit. Fun fact: Outside of planning my meals, I get a major kick out of figuring out how to maximize my park hopping. I managed 3 parks on one particularly ambitious day. Disney's Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom Park on August 24th is actually a pretty clever plan. Magic Kingdom Park is open until 11 PM that night and appears to be hosting Extended Evening Hours even later if you're staying at a Disney Deluxe Hotel so get all the time you can on that last day. Now it's time for my personal take on how to make all of your dreams come true on that first day.

Start the day off at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Park opening is currently listed as 8 AM that day with 30 extra minutes of Early Theme Park Entry for Guests of Disney Resorts Collection hotels. I'd definitely lock in an Individual Lightning Lane purchase for Avatar Flight of Passage as early as I could and then beeline to Africa to standby Kilimanjaro Safaris in the meantime. The animals are the most active in the cool morning air. Be prepared to catch a rideshare at 1 PM over to Magic Kingdom Park, where you'll take either the monorail or the ferry boat from the Transportation & Ticket Center, and be ready to enter as soon as it's 2 PM. You'll only have 4 hours in this park since it's a Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party date and Guests without a ticket to the party will have to exit by 6 PM. Take another rideshare over to Disney's Hollywood Studios to finish off the night on Slinky Dog Dash and Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway.

Pro-tip: You listed the 3 parks you wanted to fit into day 1 of your visit but honestly, if it were me, I'd go with Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park first, hop to Magic Kingdom Park and then take the monorail over to EPCOT. The EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival for a few hours is a great way to round out an evening at a more mellow pace. Grab a treat from one of the Global Marketplaces and secure a spot to watch Harmonious, the new nighttime spectacular. You'll be much fresher for day 2.

D'andre, I hope I've set you up for success on your upcoming visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth. Be sure to make those Theme Park Reservations via the Disney Park Pass System to secure entry to your first park of each day. If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back for another chat. Let's make some magic!

    Happy planning!
