Hi I have a question we have annual passes and the we are blacked out until August but someone was telling me that if I stay on the property I can go in with my passes that are blacked out currently I don’t believe but thought I should ask anyway. Thank yo

    Hello, Maritza!

Thank you for stopping by planDisney! I am also a Magic Key holder, and I know we all miss our favorite theme parks when our passes are blocked out on certain days!

Although staying at a Disneyland Resort hotel adds extra magic to a trip to Disneyland Resort, it does not give Magic Key holders access to the theme parks during their block out dates. I am sorry for that disappointing news! Magic Key passes are only available for renewal at this time. When it is time to renew your Magic Key, you may want to upgrade your pass into one with fewer block out days (if available).

Have you considered a resort-only stay where you can still experience the Disney magic without going into the theme parks? It is one of my favorite things to do! With spectacular food, exciting pools, and fun activities, the Disneyland Resort hotels are a great staycation destination! My kids love the Monorail-themed waterslides at the Disneyland Hotel, and I like the Craftsman-style decor at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Speaking of Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, did you know they have a beautiful, luxurious spa? The Tenaya Stone Spa offers everything from facials to massages, as well as hair and nail treatments. It's the perfect place to relax and get pampered! Afterward, head over to the Downtown Disney District for dinner, bowling, and maybe some live music.

Maritza, I am keeping my fingers crossed that you get a chance to enjoy the amenities at one of the Disneyland Resort hotels. We hope to see you real soon!
