Ahoy there, Sarah!
Thanks for taking the time to stop by planDisney with your questions for us. I see that you’re planning a Disney cruise and checking out staterooms options.
Disney Cruise Line’s staterooms are designed with families in mind. There are various room configurations to choose from, to accommodate a trip for two or a larger family. Most staterooms on
Disney Cruise Line ships feature queen-sized beds. They contain an open frame, meaning you can store plenty of items under the bed. After unpacking on Embarkation Day, we stash our empty suitcases and duffle bags underneath; out of sight, out of mind…until the end of our cruise when we sadly have to pack up.
The queen-sized beds do not pull apart to become twin beds. However, there is a sofa in the sitting area which can convert into a twin bed. Some rooms contain a top bunk that is hidden in the ceiling until evening turn-down service; if needed, your cabin steward will use a special tool to pull down the top bunk and set it all up. There are also some certain rooms with a Murphy bed that comes down from the wall, which can accommodate a fifth passenger.
I hope this information is helpful for you as you decide which stateroom to choose for your upcoming Disney cruise. If you have more trip-planning questions, please don’t hesitate to sail by
planDisney again!
Hope to SEA ya real soon,
Kiki
