Hi Sandra,
Thanks for bringing this question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I have visited
Walt Disney World Resort several times in August, so I'm happy to help answer your question!
There's no denying it's hot and humid in August at Walt Disney World Resort. And, there's always a chance for rain. That said, the weather has never impacted our fun! In terms of crowd level, August starts off very busy but gets less crowded by the end of the month.
You can have a fantastic vacation to Walt Disney World Resort regardless of the weather and crowds! You just need to make sure you plan carefully and take breaks during the hottest part of each day. For example, we typically visit the theme parks in the morning for a few hours, and we head back to our Walt Disney World Resort hotel during the hottest part of the afternoon for a pool break. That way, we are recharged and ready to visit the theme parks in the evening when the temperatures have dropped a bit.
In addition, if you decide to visit in August, you may want to consider the
Water Park Fun & More ticket option. I've found the Water Park Fun & More ticket option to be a great value, particularly for our August vacations. A visit to
Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park or
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is a perfect way to cool off during a hot day!
I hope this helps with your planning, Sandra. Please stop back again real soon with any other questions you have about your upcoming trip.
Wishing you many magical memories!
Erin
