Greetings, and welcome to planDisney, Debra -
hello from Mickey Mouse and friends!I never imagined how much our vacations at
Walt Disney World Resort would make such a positive impact on my family travelling with my severely autistic adult son from infancy. This is because of the
services for Guests with disabilities that have exceeded parameters to afford all Guests an enjoyable, and inclusive visit.
Disney’s Disability Access Service commonly referred to as the DAS is one such accommodation, and I am happy to report two significant and really convenient features such as the ability to self-select available attractions from the
My Disney Experience app during your visit to the theme parks, and the ability to register from the comfort of your home with the DAS Advance registration.
Pre-registration with the DAS Advance can take place from 2 days to 30 days before your arrival and in consultations with Cast Members you will be able to select 2 one-hour return windows for select available experiences, and you may also select additional DAS one-hour return windows during your visit at the theme parks. Debra, you can also register in-person during your visit
inside any Walt Disney World Resort theme park at Guest Relations, since your arrival is soon, rest-assured.
Please note that both methods of registration, whether with the DAS Advance or in-person during your visit will require:
1. Update your
Family & Friends list in My Disney Experience to include those in your travel party on the DAS Guestlist.
2. Ensure the Guest registering for the DAS is present for the DAS Advance registration, or the in-person consultation at Guest Relations
inside any Walt Disney World Resort theme park.
Please ensure you have a
Disney Park Pass reservation using valid theme park admission in advance of your visit.
Debra, I highly recommend adding the
Disney Genie+ service for a nominal fee per ticket, per day to save time waiting in lines for attractions offering a Lightning Lane Entrance - this service would truly optimize your theme park attraction touring in alliance with the DAS accommodation.
