Howdy Phoebe,
Welcome back to planDisney! I'm so happy you're back with another great planning question. As you know, the
Disability Access Service (DAS) helps guests with developmental disabilities who are unable to wait in traditional standby queues for extended periods enjoy the magic of the Walt Disney World Resort. It's a game-changer for those who qualify to use it. When you register via live video chat, a cast member helps to get you all set up and the service is valid for either one year or for the length of your current/upcoming park ticket - whichever is shorter. Once this time has elapsed, guests must re-register using the same process for their next holiday.
Based on what you've indicated in your message, I believe you will need to re-register for DAS prior to or during your next Disney holiday this summer. Thankfully the process is pretty quick and simple; just scroll to the middle of the
DAS page and click Request Live Video Chat. You'll be connected with a cast member who will help you re-register. Live video chat is available daily from 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time. You will need to be logged into your account to request a chat.
While you're here, Phoebe I want to make sure you've seen the
Accessibility Services for Guests with Disabilities page. This page has several helpful resources for guests with special needs such as the
Accessibility Planning Guide and the
Sensory Experience Details document. Take a look when you have time - this site has been super helpful to me while planning my family's holidays at Walt Disney World.
I hope you have a magical time this summer, Phoebe. If you happen to need any additional planning help, don't hesitate to come on back. We'll see ya real soon!
