Hi, Sally! It's great to see you back here at planDisney!
As the mom of a child with special needs, I certainly appreciate the way that
Walt Disney World Resort goes above and beyond to assist
Guests with disabilities. When I visit the Walt Disney World theme parks with my son who is on the autism spectrum, we use
Disability Access Service (DAS). DAS is an accommodation intended for Guests who, due to a disability, cannot wait in a traditional queue environment. Now with recent updates such as the ability to
pre-register for DAS and the opportunity to make
DAS Advance experience selections, this accommodation is even more convenient to use.
If you'd like to change the DAS Advance selections that you have made for your upcoming trip, you may click on the "Request Live Chat" button on this
Planning with DAS webpage. During a live video chat with a Cast Member, you can inquire about modifying the experiences that you previously selected. Please note that all park visits must fall within 2-30 days of your video chat. It is also important to understand that DAS Advance experiences are subject to availability and assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Therefore, there is no guarantee that the Cast Member will be able to assign you an experience that will work better with your schedule.
If you are unable to modify your DAS Advance selections to times that better fit your itinerary, no worries. While you won't be able to reschedule an experience if you don't make it during your assigned time window, there will be no penalty for missing your time. Now that Guests registered for DAS have the ability to request ride return times using their
My Disney Experience mobile app during their park visits, using DAS is easier than ever. Even without those DAS Advance experiences, I think you'll find that you're able to fit lots of
Disney thrills into your theme park day.
Sally, if we can help you with anything else, please don't hesitate to ask. See ya real soon!
Samantha
