We have the QS plan and make ADR very soon, but know TS isn’t in our plan. If I am lucky enough to get the ADRs that I want and use my cc to pay in advance and then upgrade to the DDP, can I get a refund for my cc, since I would then be able to use credit?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Kathleen, when you make Advanced Dining Reservations without the Dining Plan, or in your case, reservations for Table Service restaurants with a Quick Service Dining Plan, you will be required to have a credit card in your account to guarantee your reservation. You won't be charged anything when you make the initial booking. The credit card is only charged if you don't cancel within the allotted 24hrs prior to your reservation window and don't show up. Otherwise, you won't pay until after you dine.

There are some restaurants that require pre-payment. These are: Cinderella's Royal Table, Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, Disney's Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show and Mickey's Backyard BBQ. To book a reservation for these without the Disney Dining Plan that includes Table Service credits, you would have to pre-pay. If you decide to upgrade your Dining Plan you will have two options. You can wait until you arrive to your reservation, alert the Cast Member that you wish to change the form of payment to your Dining Plan Credits and they will then issue you a refund on your credit card.

The second option would be to cancel your reservation and rebook it with your Dining Plan information once it's linked to your My Disney Experience. But before you do this, be sure to check the availability before you cancel so you don't lose the reservation you already have. Many of these restaurants are very popular, and you might not be able to get your reservation back once you cancel it.

I hope this helps answer your question! If you need any additional details, don't hesitate to return to see us. You can also reach out to Disney's Dining Help line at (407) 939-1947 where a helpful Cast member can assist you.

    Have a magical day,
