I have a ? about QS meals for kids on the DDP. Many kids meals mention substituting a cookie. Does this mean the only dessert my son can order is a cookie with his meals or can he order any dessert from the menu to go with his meal? Thanks!

    Hi, Kristen!

When ordering a kids meal at a quick service location, your child will get a choice of two sides, usually grapes, carrots, pudding, applesauce, french fries, or cookie.   The second side counts as a "dessert" so they do not get to pick an additional dessert off the regular menu.    If there is no kids menu available, they may order an adult quick service entree, drink, and dessert.

Additional desserts can be purchased and paid for separately.  I think you will find that all the desserts get to be a LOT when you are on the Disney Dining Plan and that are plenty of sweet treats to go around without purchasing additional items.

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
