With the QS dining plan I see you get 1 entrée. Do most entrees include something with them like a salad or side? I see at Chicken Guy looks like sides are separate. So if we went there for a meal I only get chicken and have to pay for a side?

    Hi Desiree,

Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Your Walt Disney World vacation is just about here, and I'm sure you're excited for all the magic awaiting you!

I think it's great that you are checking out all your options for using a Dining Plan. On one of our recent trips, my wife and I added the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan to our reservation, and we really appreciated both the convenience and the variety of dining locations and delicious food choices.

I find that the menus for Quick Service restaurants will vary. In general, I find that that some Quick Service menus describe the entrees as served with a side, so they'll be included. Other menus might show sides as separate items, yet might offer them as dining plan snack items. Most menus will identify eligible snack credit choices with a purple and white Disney Dining Plan snack logo. While Chicken Guy! is a Quick Service restaurant that accepts some dining plans, it doesn't currently offer items for dining plan snack credits, and in that case the sides would be purchased separately. I will, say, though, that every time I walk by Chicken Guy, I love the scent of something really, really delicious that surrounds its Disney Springs area.

Desiree, here's wishing you a wonderful Walt Disney World vacation.

    Enjoy your Disney!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
