2 Q's 1. Our daughter has a 9am Mermaid Makeover at MK.What time is the pirate parade she can be in? 2. Staying at AoA-with 7:50 dinner at O'Hana, what time should we leave MK to get changed and what time should we leave AoA to be on time? Thank you!

    Hi Stacy,

My daughter was turned into an Empress at The Pirates League at Magic Kingdom Park on a recent trip, and she loved the experience!  Typically, the Adventureland Pirate Parade is held at 4:00 p.m.  It is a short parade, so you do not need to budget too much time for it.  On the day my daughter visited The Pirates League, they did not hold the parade due to very heavy crowds.  I got the feeling that the parade is held nearly every day except in cases of truly unusual crowds; however, I do suggest that you ask the cast members when you are at The Pirates League to confirm that it will happen that day.

Dinner at 'Ohana is a great way to end a day at Walt Disney World.  I would like to make a suggestion that will save you a lot of time and gain you some more time in Magic Kingdom Park.  Instead of heading back to Disney's Art of Animation Resort to change and then going to Disney's Polynesian Resort to get to 'Ohana, I would instead pack a bag with the clothes that you want to wear to dinner and take them with you to Magic Kingdom Park.  Then, you can do a quick change either at Magic Kingdom Park or Disney's Polynesian Resort before dinner.  You could put the clothes in a backpack and rent a locker at the front of Magic Kingdom Park, leave them in there all day, and then duck into a restroom to change quickly.  That way, you could just take a boat or monorail from Magic Kingdom Park right to Disney's Polynesian Resort.  In this case, I would budget about 30 minutes for transportation.  If you decide to take a bus back to Disney's Art of Animation Resort, you would then need to take a bus back to Magic Kingdom Park and then catch a boat or the monorail to Disney's Polynesian Resort.  To do this, I would leave yourself at least two hours once you factor in the wait times and travel times.

Have a great time planning your trip Stacy, and please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions!
