Q/A -WL or CR for Dec 2011?We stayed at Contemp in Oct & loved being able to walk to MK! Am considering WL b/c of better "theme" at Xmas time + <$. There will be 6 of us(GP, me,DH,kids 7 & 3yo). Is the boat/bus a hassle & will we r

    Hi Allison,

You can't make a bad decision here.  Both the Contemporary and the Wilderness Lodge are fabulous choices in December, but for me the Wilderness Lodge is my "hands-down" favorite at Christmas time.  Many fans argue that the Wilderness Lodge is the most beautifully decorated resort around the holidays.  I would agree.  The six-story Christmas tree in the lobby is a jaw-dropper.  You simply must see it.  As for getting to the Magic Kingdom, it took us only four minutes on the resort bus from the Wilderness Lodge to the Magic Kingdom when we were there in December 2008.  If you have a little more time to spare, I recommend taking the boat from the dock at the back of the Wilderness Lodge to the Magic Kingdom.  What a beautiful ride!  It's an attraction all its own.  Everyone in your travel will love the Wilderness Lodge in December, and its only a quick boat ride over to the Contemporary if you want to visit that resort while you're there also.

Thanks for the question, and have a magical vacation!
