    Putting in my advanced order for BOG lunch. On the kids meals it lets me pick a cookie as a side. If I'm on the dinning plan is that considered desert or do they get to pick a side and then a desert? Also can I request reg mashed potatoes instead of sw

    Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel. You are going to love dining at Be Our Guest Restaurant. The unique ambiance of Beast's Castle is just incredible and I love that you can bypass the kiosks and order your meal in advance. It's not only convenient, but my family loves to take a little extra time to look around. 

    If you are on the dining plan, you get the choice of two sides with the children's meals. You can pick any two, but yes, if choosing a dessert the cookie could be your option. I completely understand if your children would like to try one of the delicious cupcake offerings and recommend purchasing one separately for the family to try; they are divine! As far as requesting regular mashed potatoes instead of mashed sweet potatoes, I don't believe there is a way to make a substitution request when pre-ordering.
