Can I put my wives wheelchair on a tram ? It folds up and is very compact. Thanks

    Hi Brad,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for stopping by with your great question.  A manual wheelchair may be folded and accommodated in the first row of each tram car.  I have seen many Guests boarding the trams with their folded wheelchairs in this manner.

Since your wife has mobility issues you might find the information in the following link for Services for Guests With Disabilities helpful to your vacation planning.  Another resource for you is the phone number listed at the bottom of the linked page for Disability Services which you may call if you have questions and would like to speak to a Cast Member.

Brad as a Physical Therapist I have been absolutely amazed at how accessible the Walt Disney World Resort is as a vacation destination.  Not only is the Resort accessible, the Cast Members are so kind and helpful and are ready to assist you anytime you need.  20 years ago while on my honeymoon I sprained my ankle and unexpectedly found myself using a wheelchair for the duration of my trip.  What could have been a "honeymoon horror story" turned out to be a Magical Experience and made me an avid fan of the Disney brand.

I wish you and your wife a Magical vacation!  Please let us know if we can answer any further vacation planning questions.
