We were put in a WChrAcc RollIn OptHr Q QSS TPD room with DVC reservations at the Poly. I called to request a change we wanted just a standard room. They indicated nothing else was available. What DVC longhouses are these rooms in and whats the difference?

    Hi Kristen,

Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. How lovely to be heading for a stay at Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows! It is such a beautiful and lush resort with a great location.

I am assuming that you are staying in a deluxe studio. I called to double check for you and spoke with a wonderful cast member at Disney Vacation Club Member Services who let me know that your deluxe studio could be in any of the longhouses that have Disney Vacation Club deluxe studios. These are Moorea, Pago Pago, or Tokelau.

As for the accommodations in your deluxe studio, based on what you have listed above, it sounds to me as though you will have a wheelchair accessible room with a roll in shower. The "OptHr" refers to optional communication features that could assist guests with hearing impairments, such as a visual alarm or visual telephone call alert if you request it. The "Q" and "QSS" refer to the queen-size bed and queen-size sleeper sofa that will be in your deluxe studio, the same as for other deluxe studios.

The unofficial website Tikiman Pages has great information about this resort. I suggest that you visit it at tikimanpages.com. You can get very detailed information on each of the longhouses, including the Disney Vacation Club longhouses.

I hope that this information is helpful for you, Kristen. Have a great time planning your magical vacation, and please do let us know if you have any further questions.
